There’s a fantastic website by Tony Messina (Build a Simple Bat Detector (freevar.com)) that details a lovely, simple bat detector circuit design; ![[Pasted image 20240514204705.png]] This is a perfect little project for students inexperienced with circuits and soldering. The circuit is simple enough that students can not only understand the components easily – a couple of Op-amps and a digital divider – but also plan and construct their own stripboard builds. The components are cheap and robust enough to survive building by first-time electronics engineers. Along with 15 students earlier this year I did just that with fantastic results: ![[Pasted image 20240514204635.png]] ![[Pasted image 20240514204546.png]] I highly recommend this as a satisfying and educational project. #CurriculumX
